We are proud to announce based on your feedback that for the second year in a year we are back in Las Vegas for SANS Network Security 2007. With world famous attractions, shows, restaurants, and shopping all within walking distance your will realize this city has so much more to offer than just gambling.

The training event will be held at Caesars Palace which just recently went through a huge expansion and renovation and is an attraction in itself! Caesars Palace features the Forum Shops with over 160 shops and 14 restaurants along with two free special effect shows each evening. During our dates the hotel will have performances by Celine Dion which features a career overview performance in a Broadway style show and one of the largest LED screens as the backdrop in the world. The hotel also has various dining options from high-end celebrity restaurants and all-you-can-eat buffets to the Market Street Grill, a food court that is one of my favorite places for a quick bite!

Caesars Palace has the largest square footage of any hotel on the strip. Since it will take approximately 10 minutes alone to get from the front door to your classroom, we highly recommend staying inside of the hotel. We also highly recommend you book early since most likely we will not be able to guarantee our special group rate after the deadline. Most guest rooms at Caesars Palace are very close to the meeting space and you don't even need to walk through the casino. If you decide to stay in the upgraded Palace Tower, which features breathtaking views of the city (some of the Bellegio fountains) and extra large rooms, you can take an elevator directly down to your class! As an extra treat, if you book under the special SANS rate, you will receive complimentary high speed internet with your room. However, make sure to book with our special group on-line reservation system or mention SANS when calling, since complimentary high speed internet is not available to the general public.

Right next door is the Bellagio Hotel which features free dancing fountain shows throughout the evenings. It is also home to "O" - a Cirque du Soleil spectacular! Having seen this show twice, I can assure you that it is well worth the price of admission. Also, nearby is the White Tigers on display at the Mirage, "Love" which is a brand new Cirque du Soleil show based on music of the Beatles, The Broadway musical "The Producers" at Paris and "Phantom of the Opera" at the Venetian, and a free Pirates Show at Treasure Island (http://www.treasureisland.com). The city now also has a monorail that can take you around the city and has a stop across the street from our hotel at the Flamingo.

In September, Las Vegas enjoys average temperatures in the 80's, but you still want to bring a jacket for the climate-controlled classrooms and cooler evenings. Our social board will feature exciting nightly events and get togethers for students who would like to explore all that Las Vegas has to offer.
