Freddy holds several roles: he is the CEO, founder and lead instructor at Intelligence Tradecraft, the senior advisor of threat intelligence at Nordic Financial CERT (NFCERT), and a PhD candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
At NFCERT, Freddy mainly works at the operational level generating strategic threat intelligence and decision-support. He builds intelligence reports and spends a lot of his time translating requirements and intelligence between the strategic and tactical levels.
As a PhD candidate, Freddy is researching the intersection of intelligence methodology and how it can be applied to cyber threat intelligence (CTI), also, how AI may change the way we do intelligence, and thus, how we do CTI.
Freddy is an ambassador for implementing intelligence methodology and rigor into cyber threat intelligence and frequently speaks about analytical processes in cyber security. He shares his knowledge, ongoing research, articles and PhD process with the community through his presence on LinkedIn.
Freddy is the chair of NFCERT’s threat intelligence committee (TIC), and he as a seat at FS-ISAC’s European threat intelligence committee (ETIC) and the FIRST CTI special interest group (FIRST CTI SIG), and a contributor to the curated intelligence community.
