These outstanding honorees were selected from a field of more than 100 journalists through a multi-step nomination and voting process in which only current active cyber journalists participated. Thus, the awardees have earned the highest honor a professional can seek - to have been selected by their peers as the best practitioners of their craft. These awards reflect the full body of work of each journalist. The example story is simply one they thought exemplified their work.
