The Beneswiss national BootUp CTF tournaments have now come to a close, concluding the second annual national CTF tournaments for Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands. Taking place across two days on 28-29 October, the CTF’s had more than 500 participants overall and really demonstrated the strength of the cybersecurity community across all three countries.
The CTF uses real-world scenarios to test skills across a wide spectrum of disciplines in a fun and competitive environment. Last year’s edition was such a hit receiving a lot of great feedback from all players. This led to SANS planning the tournaments for the second edition in 2021 and other countries following suit as well.
To make the 2021 edition a better and more fun experience than the first edition, SANS’ Range Development team put in a lot of hard work to build a vast amount of new challenges ranging from “easy” to “extreme”, ensuring there was something for players at all levels.
The lucky winners for each country will be furnished with some exciting prizes adding to the thrill of the tournament. We would love to hear from anyone who took part and don’t worry if you missed out, look out for next year’s even bigger and better competition! And for those of you who absolutely cannot wait, not to fear: SANS regularly hosts other tournaments throughout the year that are open to our global community. You can keep track of our schedule here.
"I enjoyed the challenges and the “real-life” aspect of them. It is a great news that this will become a yearly event and I am already looking forward to next year."
" It was an amazing event, a smooth and satisfying experience. Thank you very much for setting this up."
