Presentation: Demystifying AI in the SOC: A practical intro to the the word soup of ML, NN and LLMs
Principal Instructor Cristian-Mihai VIDUAbstract: Everywhere we're looking there is a mention of AI and how it will impact X, Y or Z and cyber security is no exception. However, the AI term is quite often misused or misunderstood, leading to confusion about its real capabilities. My goal through this presentation is to clear the fog around AI, distinguish between its various types and see how we can best apply them in the SOC. This will be an easy, fun and instructive walk through machine learning models, neural networks, all the way to LLMs, trying to see how we can fit and apply each one to our cyber defence challenges.
