BETHESDA, MD, November 17, 2021 – SANS Institute (SANS) announces a new partnership with NetHope, an organization focused on accelerating impact through the use of technology, in an effort to empower organizations with the cybersecurity professionals and skills they need to create a safer world. Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) worldwide have been vulnerable targets to cyberattacks over the past year, and this new partnership will help ensure they can carry out their mission more effectively and safely.
“SANS is thrilled to partner with NetHope, as our vision is aligned in empowering cyber practitioners and organizations in reaching their goal to secure their digital infrastructure,” said Ted Beatie, Director of Technical Product Management at SANS Institute. “This new partnership will make a meaningful impact on individuals who will gain important cybersecurity expertise, as well as organizations, who will be able to defend themselves against increasing attacks.”
As a new NetHope technology partner, SANS joins NetHope’s consortium of over 60 leading organizations, who for the past 20 years have been helping the neediest individuals throughout the world.
“Cybersecurity is a high priority for organizations around the world. But for nonprofits it is even more crucial because when harmful digital attacks are successful against nonprofits then the world’s most vulnerable people and communities are in the firing line,” says Lance Pierce, NetHope’s CEO. “We are delighted that The SANS Institute has joined with NetHope at this critical time to help with skilling up and building the resilience of nonprofits. Together with this forward-thinking organization we’ll bring more expertise, more people and more world-leading products to our Member nonprofits, and thereby increase the digital safety of the people and communities they work with.”
