Alex Moix is a seasoned security engineer, technical intelligence analyst, and cybersecurity professional that has supported missions at the National Security Agency, National Counterterrorism Center, University Of Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Secret Service. He has an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa’s Cyber Corps program and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Most recently, he worked at Slack, engineering detection capabilities that track nation state threat actors and cybercriminals to protect customers from online harm. During this time, he volunteered at the CyberSecurity NonProfit as a Director of the Cyber Safety Initiative.
Alex is now a Senior Tech Fellow supporting the Office of Senator Mark Warner through TechCongress covering a range of policy issues related to digital privacy and security, AI regulation, critical infrastructure security, and online safety.
