Carl is a product strategist and growth coach, currently driving partnerships and alliances as the Director of Business Development and Digital Programs at the SANS Institute. With over 20 years in product management and leadership, Carl has led teams in the online teaching and learning tech space at Echo360, Blackboard, and SANS Online Training. He gained a passion for the intersection of technology, education, and fostering a strong security culture during his tenure leading product management for SANS Security Awareness from 2020-2022, where he collaborated with world-renowned instructors and researchers to help customers enhance their programs.
Carl has spearheaded the launch of several role-based and security skills training products. Nowadays, he focuses on forging industry partnerships, developing growth programs for SANS, mentoring budding leaders, and sharing his insights through speaking and coaching.
