Profile
Eric Tilds is a General Counsel with over twenty years' experience providing in-house legal advice to small, medium, and large technology companies. Having led the legal departments for both Netarx (successful exit to Logicalis) and then Logicalis for a combined twenty years, he was intricately involved in a host of different legal, employment, compliance, and information security issues. Netarx was a self-funded start-up that Eric joined in its infancy, and it grew both organically and acquisitively to become a 250-person organization operating in eight U.S. states. Logicalis is a global IT organization with roughly 1,000 employees across 20+ offices in the United States. He spent eight years at Logicalis as EVP, General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer, Corporate Secretary, and head of Information Security and Compliance. This experience led to a deep understanding of the legal and risk management function for early, mid, and late-stage companies.
Today, as a fractional General Counsel and founder of techGC, Eric’s client base consists of MSPs, MSSPs, and SaaS companies. He also serves as “IT Counsel” to a broad array of both public and private companies.
Early in his legal career, Eric worked as a consultant for both Arthur Andersen LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers, servicing a broad array of Fortune 500 clients. Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and both Juris Doctor and MBA degrees from Wayne State University.
