Ian Henderson

A Chartered Control Engineer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security, Ian has broad experience in control systems as well as IT Security.

He has chaired the LOGIIC group, driving security improvements into the automation industry along with other Oil and Gas companies and US DHS. He has represented BP on the standards groups and government information exchanges. Ian was part of the GIAC GICSP steering group advising on the creation and update of professional security qualifications for the industrial control community.

Most recently Ian has led the creation of a mandatory security standard for Automation System security and the creation of a security Centre of Excellence within BP.  Ian is currently the Vice President of Automation System Security in BP where he leads multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and information security professionals.
