Kristina Balaam

Kristina is a Senior Staff Security Intelligence Researcher with Lookout’s Threat Advisory Services team, responsible for helping to discover, track and investigate state-sponsored surveillance activity with a focus on Chinese threats. Kristina became fascinated with the ways in which technology could impact geopolitics and human rights issues while studying events surrounding the Arab Spring during her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Computer Science. She is currently pursuing a master's degree with a focus on these issues, and was recently named one of Canada’s Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity.
