With significant experience as an attorney and industry subject matter expert, Lee Kim has been able to uniquely advise clients and provide actionable insights. Additionally, Lee is always seeking to improve the industry through her collaborative efforts and outreach. She serves with the US Department of Homeland Security Analytic Exchange Program as a private sector analyst. She has advised public and private sector stakeholders on regulation, legislation, and industry guidance, as well as on governance and compliance related matters.
Lee serves as the Senior Principal of Cybersecurity and Privacy at HIMSS, a Director of InfraGard Northern Capital Region, Vice Chair of the Policy Committee of the American Bar Association Health Section, a member of the IANS faculty, and a National Visiting Committee member of the National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center. She is a member of the US Department of Homeland Security Analytic Exchange Program.
Prior to her becoming an attorney and industry subject matter expert, Lee worked as an IT professional and consultant. By way of education, Lee has an undergraduate degree in chemistry, in addition to her law degree. She has received numerous awards and honors, including the R.K. Mellon Research Fellowship for neurobiology and organic chemistry research.
Lee is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a registered United States patent attorney. She is an AV Preeminent peer review rated attorney.
Lee is a published poet, photographer, and writer. She is also involved in acting and voiceover work. But, above all, her greatest joy is helping others and leveraging both creativity and analysis.
