Oleksandr Tarasov

Oleksandr Tarasov is the Head of Naftogaz Group Cybersecurity Projects and Programs for NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”.

Before being named Head of Naftogaz Group Cyber Security Projects and Programs in December 2022, Oleksandr was Naftogaz specialist for the Development and Protection Systems Corporate Information. With specialist vocation, Oleksandr was responsible for data loss prevention, internal audit according to ISO 27001 and training Naftogaz costumers to be informed on cyber hygiene.

He also took part in the creation of the Naftogaz Cyber Security Operation Center (SOC) and played a key role in security control management and implementation of many systems, such as EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability scanner and Passwordless authentication.

Oleksandr earned an masters from Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics, where he defended masters work of recovery loss data.
