Pierre Lidome

Pierre Lidome is a SANS course author and a cyber threat hunter for a large Energy company. With more than 25 years of experience in network engineering, firewall management, security services delivery, forensic analysis and eDiscovery, he has worked numerous digital forensic and incident response (DFIR) cases involving vectors such as insider threats and nation-state actors.

Profile

Pierre has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. He is a member of the GIAC advisory board and holds the GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certifications. Pierre is also a faculty member of the SANS Technology Institute, an NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense and multiple winner of the National Cyber League competition.

Pierre believes in training the next generation of cyber hunters and shares his knowledge at various events including the digital forensics undergraduate and graduate classes at the University of Houston where he also sits on the board of the Center for Information Security Research.

Every year Pierre has the privilege of volunteering on the red team for the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition.
