I started at SANS Security Awareness in December of 2019, right before the pandemic. I was lucky enough to take Lance Spitzner’s Security Awareness course and was changed forever. Prior to being at SANS, I worked for 20 years in the Application Development space selling Application Performance Management solutions. I then had the opportunity to make a move into the Cyber Security space and worked for a company providing Data Classification capabilities. This gave me the ability to have conversations with my customers and prospects about the importance of changing the end user’s behavior to reduce and ultimately stop security breaches caused by user error. The focus on culture change and helping the end user better understand where they fit in the Security Framework is what brought me to SANS Security Awareness. I am looking forward to the many discussions I will have at RSA this year.
