Robert Fink is a principal consultant and virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) for BlackBerry’s Strategic Services practice. In this role, Robert helps clients develop and implement security programs, policies, and processes to lessen cyber risk and be better prepared to defend against cyber-attacks. Robert works with the Blackberry team of cybersecurity experts to provide clients with programmatic Gap Analyses, Incident Response Tabletop Exercises, Security Architecture Assessments, Improvement Roadmaps, Policy and Procedure Development, Security Awareness Training and Security Operations Oversight.
Robert has over 25 years of information technology operations, security, and leadership experience across various industry verticals to include Banking, Biomedical Research, Higher Education, Healthcare, Federal Government, Military and Petrochemical.
Prior to joining BlackBerry, Robert was the Assistant Vice President of Information Security / CISO for Tulane University, and a Senior Cyber Security Engineer with Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations Company at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
