Rosa Bolger

Rosa Bolger is an IBM Vice-President and Distinguished Engineer with over 30 years of experience in Cybersecurity and technology. She leads the Cyber Defense & Technology mission within the IBM Chief Information Security Office (CISO). The Cyber Defense mission includes the Security operations center (SOC), Incident response (CSIRT), Vulnerability response, Asset intelligence, Threat detection, intelligence & hunting, Remediation, Platform development & operations plus two worldwide operations centers in EU and AP.

Rosa's manages over 400 experienced technical experts worldwide that secure IBM employees, clients and assets, 24/7/365 days a year. She excels at building and leading highly effective and passionate teams that are people focused. A priority within her team is building a healthy culture, with shared values of innovation, speed and quality.

Her experience includes managing the performance and availability of the web infrastructures for the Olympic Games and major client accounts during peak load times. Rosa also has a background in Unix/Linux system administration, network architecture, enterprise and solution architecture of web services, end to end applications, content discovery, federated identity.

She is a member of the Society of Women Engineering (SWE) and Executive Women’s Forum. At IBM, she is recognized as an exemplary leader of several business resource groups that focus on helping employees build community through diversity and shared experiences. She holds multiple patents and certifications, has spoken at RSA and other major security events and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She holds multiple patents and technical certifications and has previously spoken at RSA and other security events.
