Shintaro Watanabe is a seasoned security professional specializing in incident handling and information security planning. He currently serves as a Senior Expert in the Cybersecurity Division at JCOM Co., Ltd., which is the largest cable television operator in Japan. In this role, he has developed comprehensive cybersecurity controls for LAN/WAN environments, ISP systems, and broadcast facilities. He also leads incident response and digital forensics initiatives and provides guidance and oversight for the Security Operations Center (SOC).
A skilled incident handler, Shintaro excels beyond the role of a specialized consultant. He effectively negotiates with stakeholders and establishes clear protocols for tracking progress and enhancing the organization's cybersecurity posture.
