The military is potentially the most proficient in using exercises to maintain skills through practical application in as close to real world situations as possible. In this paper, background on the evolution of cyber exercises and possibilities will be discussed. A variety of cyber exercise options will be detailed, including an analysis of the business impacts, risks and benefits that an organization will need to weight prior to conducting. Areas requiring special attention from a management perspective will be described to help ensure success. A comparative analysis of the options will be presented to provide a quick reference of the material within the paper.
